These terms cover how we work together: what the free audit includes, how billing runs, and how either of us can end the engagement. They're written to be read, not to hide anything. If something here isn't clear, ask before you sign and we'll put the answer in writing.
1. The free Business Audit
The Business Audit is free and carries no obligation. It's roughly thirty minutes, in person where practical or by call, and it produces a written list of findings and a suggested roadmap.
You keep the findings whether or not you hire us. We don't hold them back, and we don't require a purchase to receive them.
2. Scope and quotes
We don't publish a price list. After the audit we provide a written scope and a fixed quote for the work discussed. Work doesn't begin until you've approved that scope in writing.
If we later discover the job is materially different from what was scoped, we'll come back to you with a revised quote before doing the extra work, not after.
3. Retainers and billing
- Ongoing work runs as a flat monthly retainer, billed monthly in advance.
- Some engagements include a one-time setup or production fee covering build, configuration, or a content shoot.
- Third-party costs that are genuinely passed through (telephony minutes, paid ad spend, software licences in your name) are identified in your quote. We don't mark them up silently.
4. The 30-day money-back pilot
Your first monthly retainer is refundable. If the first month isn't working for you, tell us within thirty days of that first retainer payment and we'll refund it.
One-time setup and production fees are non-refundable, because that work has already been performed and delivered — the system was built, or the shoot happened and the footage is yours.
The refund covers the retainer, not the delivered work. Anything already produced for you remains yours.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel your retainer at any time, unless we've both signed a contract specifying a fixed term. Cancel before your next billing date and you won't be billed again; we don't charge a cancellation penalty and we don't require a reason.
We may also end an engagement, with notice and a pro-rata refund of any unused prepaid retainer, if the work falls outside what we can competently deliver or the relationship stops being workable.
On cancellation we hand back what's yours: account access, content files, and your data. We don't hold accounts hostage.
6. Your accounts and access
Social, advertising, and business accounts we manage remain yours, in your ownership, at all times. We work through delegated access wherever the platform allows it. If we create an account on your behalf, ownership transfers to you.
You're responsible for the accuracy of information you ask us to publish, including claims about licensing, pricing, availability, and guarantees.
7. Content and usage rights
Photography and video we produce for you are licensed to you in full for your marketing use, on delivery and payment.
We may show finished work in our own portfolio or marketing only with your permission. If you'd rather we didn't, say so and we won't; that decision never affects your pricing or service.
You're responsible for securing permission from anyone appearing in content shot at your premises, including staff and customers, and for any music, branding, or materials you supply to us.
8. What we don't promise
We don't guarantee specific revenue, lead volume, follower growth, engagement rates, or search rankings. Anyone who does is guessing with your money. What we commit to is the scope in your written quote, delivered on the agreed schedule.
Platform behaviour is outside our control. Social networks change their algorithms, policies, and APIs without notice, and third-party services can have outages. We adapt as fast as we reasonably can, but we aren't liable for those changes.
9. Confidentiality
Anything commercially sensitive you share with us during the audit or the engagement stays between us. We'll sign your NDA if you have one.
10. Liability
Our total liability for any claim connected to the work is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force for your engagement is the one in effect when you approved your scope, unless we've agreed a change in writing. Material changes affecting active clients will be sent to you directly, not quietly posted here.
